And the Next Volunteer Will Be . . .

November 6, 2010

I have some news, too. Next week, I will be reviewing the wonderful new novel, Matched, and interviewing its author, Ally Condie! All right here on this very blog!

I also thought I’d give you an update on my own little haunted house situation. I’ve been eagerly awaiting a glimpse of my ghost, but she’s proven to be quite elusive. However, I do hear her all the time. She loves to walk around in my bedroom upstairs while I’m downstairs in the living room. There is no other explanation for the noises. Let’s just say that my ghost’s footsteps aren’t exactly dainty. My husband heard her the other day, and it blew his mind. I don’t think he believed me until he heard the noises himself.

It’s strange, but I feel quite comfortable living with my ghost. If only I could teach her how to walk with a lighter step.

That’s such a cool statue. And your ghost? Creepily awesome!!! Do you think it’s the same one your daughter would suddenly stare, point, and laugh at?

Oh, and this isn’t for the Past-life reading.

Oh yeah, and yay about the interview!!! (And finally, someone who spells Ally the same way I do!)

  3. Yeah, the statue is the work of one of my favorite artists, Yoshitomo Nara. As for the ghost, yes, I think it’s the same one!!

Any Ideas whose ghost haunts you?

    • No. I should do some research. The building is very old (1852), so it will take some time to do it. I’ve also heard that it may have been a house of ill repute (if you know what I mean) for a while, so I would imagine that a lot of people have lived here (and visited) over the years.
